Build a career with us and help to keep the U.S. Navy fleet mission-ready.**As a Pipefitter, you will:**+ Perform a variety of skilled mechanical duties involving general fitting piping systems on vessels, burning/brazing, testing and sketching piping systems+ Operate equipment for assembly and installation including benders, grinders, and drill presses+ Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery+ Review sketches and blueprints to be able to identify and procure needed materials.**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**+ High School Diploma or GED+ Able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions+ Able to wear appropriate protective gear+ Able to physically perform essential job duties with or without accommodations+ Able to work at heights, in confined spaces and have the ability to climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes+ Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form+ Able to calculate and understand units of measure, including fractions and decimals+ Know how to measure using a scale and tape measure+ 6-8 years related experience for Specialist, 4-7 years related experience for 1 st Class, 3-5 years related experience for 2 nd Class, 2-4 years related experience for 3 rd Class+ Read, understand, and interpret advanced blueprints to preform task required.**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**+ Ensure that lokrings are performed in accordance with the standard NAVSEA procedure+ A written test by the manufacturer and the government must be taken and passed in order to be fully trained.+ Operate and maintain band saw+ Set up and operate plasma machine+ Know flex hose basics+ 8-12 related experience years for Specialist, 5-8 related experience for 1 st Class, 4-7 related experience for 2 nd Class, 3-5 related experience for 3 rd Class**Pay Information**Full-Time Salary Range: $59800 - $91645Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
