Chipton-Ross is seeking a Pipe Fitter for a contract opportunity in Marinette, WI.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):Ability to follow directions under intermittent supervisionExperience cutting, threading, or bending pipes to specificationsAbility to lay out full-scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment based on blueprintsSkill in assembling or securing pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment by welding, brazing, or threading jointsAbility to measure and mark pipes for cutting or threadingExperience inspecting, examining, or testing installed systems or pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, or other methodsAbility to plan pipe system layouts, installation, or repair according to specificationsSkill in attaching pipes to walls, structures, or fixturesAbility to modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machinerySkill in cutting or boring holes in structures for pipe system installationAbility to install automatic controls to regulate pipe systemsExperience shutting off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections using valve keys or wrenchesAbility to remove and replace worn components and operate motorized pumps to remove waterStrong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and solving problems with equipmentCommitment to proper storage and maintenance of equipmentWillingness to engage in highly energetic pursuits on the waterfrontCommitment to maintaining quality, environmental, health, and safety standardsAbility to abide by all organizational policies and proceduresPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform pipefitting work on equipment, ship interiors, ship exteriors, and shipyard buildingsMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair pipe systems and related equipmentFollow proper installation and testing procedures to ensure system integrity and safetyDocument inspections and repairs following company standardsSupport shipyard operations and waterfront activities as neededEnsure proper and safe use of all tools and equipmentParticipate in required safety and operational training sessionsREQUIRED EDUCATION:Accredited HSD/GEDWORK HOURS:Full-TimeStandard weekday schedule
