Important Background Checks: To work with Maersk, you must successfully complete the following background checks:

• County Criminal Search (Last 7 Years)
• National Criminal Search
• Sex Offender Search
• SSN Trace
• Global Watchlist Search

Both drug screens and orientation are required at 2115 S 3600 W, West Valley City, UT, 84119. Orientation typically occurs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 11:00 AM. Arrive on time, as being more than 5 minutes late may result in being turned away.

After completing orientation, you will be eligible for upcoming one-day projects and future opportunities with Maersk. You will receive 1.5 hours of orientation pay once you complete a full shift with Maersk - West Valley.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Picking orders using a tablet and packing/shipping them with a PC and RF scanner.
• Hand-labeling orders according to VAS job specifications.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for 8-9 hours.
• Ability to lift items weighing 25 pounds.

Breaks include two 15-minute (paid) breaks and one 30-minute (unpaid) lunch break. Refrigerators and vending machines are available on-site. Please note that there are no lockers available; personal items should be left at home.

General Requirements: In your role within the warehouse, you may be expected to:

• Work independently or in a team to pick, pack, and ship items.
• Relocate or repack inventory items safely, weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Operate machinery and light equipment as instructed in a safe manner.
• Perform physical activities such as reaching, bending, and crouching as required.
• Maintain a fast pace on your feet throughout the entire shift.
• Work in an environment with forklifts, machinery, and large trucks.
• Follow the dress code, which requires wearing close-toed shoes and pants if not otherwise specified.
