*Job Relationships*Responsible to: Medical Director, Associate Medical DirectorAssignments received from: Medical Director, Associate Medical DirectorPositions supervised: None*Job Summary*Physicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients. *Job Requirements*Education- Graduate of an accredited medical school requiredWork Experience* 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required* Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required* Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferredRequired Licenses/Certifications- Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine- Active state medical licensureAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required- Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting- Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records     - Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills- Strong communication and customer service skills *Essential Functions*Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job's purpose and objectives. Following are the essential functions of the job.Job Responsibilities include:* Examining and treating patients* Taking patients' medical histories* Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays* Making diagnoses and prescribing medications* Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting* Recording progress notes for follow-up patients* Educating and counseling patients* Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients* Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care* Supervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervision* Act as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)* Each provider will work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift* All other duties as assignedNote: this job description is not inclusive of all the duties of the position.
