Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner-Ambulatory Oncology - WMCHealth : Job Details

Summary:

The oncology service at WMCHealth is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join our growing team. In this ambulatory role, the APP will work alongside experienced physician and APP colleagues managing diverse hematology and oncology patients.

Responsibilities:

• Performing medical evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and consultations for hematology and oncology patients.
• Responding to, managing and delivering direct patient care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
• Gaining a working competency of clinical workflows, protocols, and applicable procedures necessary in the comprehensive approach in the care of oncology patients.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess or be able to obtain an applicable license in New York.
• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience but new graduates will be considered.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Candidates must have BLS and ACL
