HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) with recent emergency department experience to provide full-scope care at Naval Hospital just outside of Oceanside, CA. This is a government-contracted, civilian role serving Navy members in a Level III ED. You'll join a respected team of providers offering acute, routine, and trauma care within a high-performance military setting. NP, FNP, PA-C Responsibilities:
- Work within a Level III ED
- Deliver comprehensive medical care across routine, acute, and chronic conditions
- Diagnose and treat common acute conditions, chronic illness, or minor trauma
- Support triage, screening, stabilization, treatment, and patient education
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and military healthcare teams
- Promote preventative health and positive behavioral change
- Recognize isolation precautions and maintain infection control protocols
- Participate in staff education, in-services, and case discussions
NP, FNP, PA-C Physician Extender Requirements:
- NPs: Master's in nursing + board certification (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent)
- PAs: Bachelor's degree + NCCPA certification + ARC-PA accredited training
- 1+ year of full-time experience in a Level III or higher ED within the past 3 years
- Active, unrestricted license to practice in the U.S.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or Red Cross)
- Must be a S. Citizen with legal work authorization
- Strong preference for prior military, trauma, or urgent care experience
- Confident in outcome-based care and interdisciplinary teamwork
NP, FNP, PA-C Compensation & Schedule:
- $94.93 per hour for up to 40 hours/week
- $135 per hour for overtime rate
