We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a large national rehabilitation clinic. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with movement disorders, injuries, or physical impairments. The PT will develop and implement personalized treatment plans to restore mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall function. Responsibilities include direct patient care, progress documentation, and collaboration with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist (PT) will provide high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities while adhering to state practice laws and company policies. The role involves patient evaluation, treatment planning, supervision of assistants and aides, and collaboration with healthcare providers.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate, treat, and direct skilled treatment for patients requiring physical therapy.
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans for optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain ongoing documentation of goals, functional progress, and medical necessity.
- Complete required documentation (pre-certifications, physician reports, daily notes, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Maintain respectful and open communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, and families.
- Stay updated on the latest physical therapy practices and regulations.
Compliance & Safety
- Understand and adhere to the state Practice Act and supervisory requirements for PTs.
- Follow VibrantCare's Clinical Operations Policies & Procedures Manual and complete annual reviews.
- Complete all required Medicare compliance training and OSHA safety training annually.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other governmental regulations related to patient care.
Professional Development
- Complete required continuing education courses to maintain licensure.
- Maintain a current CPR certification as per state requirements.
- Participate in facility meetings and professional development programs as directed by the Center Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage time to meet productivity requirements.
- Participate in and present clinical in-services when requested.
- Contribute to center operations and workflow improvements.
Support the overall goals of the company by engaging in facility marketing efforts.
QualificationsEducation & Licensure
- Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
- State licensure/registration where applicable.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise assistants and aides in patient care.
- Effective communication for reporting, patient education, and coordination.
Soft Skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrates leadership, adaptability, and a patient-first mindset.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and assist patients using proper biomechanics (up to 50 lbs).
- Frequent walking, bending, standing, and reaching throughout the workday.
- Strong visual and auditory acuity for patient evaluations and documentation.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment and handle therapeutic devices efficiently.
