Physical Therapist - Exceptional Care : Job Details

Exceptional Care for Children (ECC) has an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing healthcare team as a Physical Therapist . We are seeking a full time professional to join our amazing TEAM. Typical shifts Monday - Friday with NO WEEKENDS, Candidates should be committed to providing the highest quality of care and services to patients requiring transitional, long term, and/or palliative care. We are an around-the-clock residential facility that provides skilled care to medically fragile residents, birth to young adult, who have a technology dependency.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats residents with gross motor delays, difficulties with mobility, gait, strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, postural and tone concerns and neuromuscular disorders.
• Assesses and manages equipment needs including orthosis, wheelchairs, standers, gait trainers and other complex rehabilitation technology.
• Coordinates and networks with vendors, Orthotists and technicians to manage and expand equipment inventory.
• Provides education to patient family, team members and other healthcare professionals on positioning, equipment, and exercise programs.
• Supervises PTA, therapy aides and standing program.
• Documents, prepares and completes a Plan of Care, progress notes, orders and other clinical documentation to support and justify service delivery

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Experience with equipment, management and assessment preferred.
• Experience with acute or complex care preferred, including those with trach/vent.
• 1 Year Pediatric experience preferred.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of Delaware.
