Physical Therapist - Full Time - Stony Brook University : Job Details

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual and grouped patients according to the principles of the American Physical Therapy Association. Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare treatment team. Supervises physical therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and volunteers. Provides an educational in-service to the staff annually as assigned by the Supervisor. Provide holiday coverage in acute care setting. Assume the role of clinical instructor to physical therapy students as assigned by the Rehab Director or CCCE.

SPECIAL SKILLS OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• NYS Physical Therapy License and current registration, or eligible.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Occasional heavy lifting when providing patient care.
• Attention to detail.
