Clinical Lead - Rehab Therapies Satellites The Clinical Lead - Rehab Therapies Satellites will provide leadership, support, and assistance in daily management of Rehabilitation Therapy practices at the O'Brien Community Center (OCC), San Remo Drive (SRD), Comprehensive Pain Program (CPP), and Rehab Therapies Community Exercise Programs (RTCE), including the Steps to Wellness Oncology Prehab/Rehab Program. This may include operational tasks, quality improvement, program development, professional development and research, as determined by the needs of each site, discipline and the department. Though supporting multiple sites administratively, this position will primarily provide clinical hours at OCC and SRD. In order to apply for this role, a candidate would need to be full-time. Please note: The Clinical Lead position is 75% patient care and 25% administrative. Administratively, the Clinical Lead - Rehab Therapies Satellites will work collaboratively with the practice supervisor and manager at each of these locations. Interdepartmental collaboration with orthopedics (total joint), hematology/oncology, surgical oncology, and the medical group at CPP will be critical. Community collaboration with neighboring physician practices and the Winooski School District will also be essential. Clinically, this position will provide physical therapy to patients in varying states of health and illness. Physical therapists diagnose and manage movement dysfunction, enhance physical and functional abilities, and promote optimal quality of life as it relates to movement and health. Physical therapists prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries. Physical therapists function as an essential member of therapy and multidisciplinary teams providing direct care to patients. They teach and prepare patients/families and caregivers for continued care after discharge. The physical therapist may be involved in consultative services within the University of Vermont Medical Center and in the community.
