Purpose The Photo Attendant/Cashier position is responsible for greeting and assisting guests, cleaning of shop, stocking and re-stocking merchandise, and cash handling in our photo sales locations. This position requires close contact with the public, the ability to work well with co-workers, and assists Santa's guests in a safe, courteous and efficient manner. Functions and Responsibilities
Ensures clean work areas in public and storage areas. Stocks, re-stocks and preps photo merchandise, as needed. Operates cash register, accepts cash and credit card payments, and gives back proper change. Assemble various photo gift merchandise upon guest purchase. May need to operate a digital camera to take photos with Santa and children Process single day photo bracelets and season passholder photo pass sales and ensure proper photos are loaded onto it. Ensures safety of all employees and guests. Greets guests courteously and assists guests. Follows all policies and procedures. Maintain a positive attitude. Arrive at work on time, in good show, and keeps neat and clean throughout the day. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills
Have knowledge of the photo iPad programs used at Santa's Village. Must possess attention to detail to ensure customer is getting correct product Must possess a courteous and friendly rapport with guests and co-workers. Have interpersonal/communication skills orally and in written language. Extent of Public Contact The Photo Attendant will greet guests, graciously providing them assistance, and answer their questions in order that they might better enjoy their visit. Physical Demands This position requires frequent reaching, stretching, stooping and climbing up and down stairs. Much of the workday consists of standing and walking. Often this person will be required to lift boxes weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasionally may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions and Environment Daytime and Christmastime position which may include weekends and holidays. Position is mostly outdoors in an open-air environment. At most times, is fast paced and in a loud environment. Attendants may work in any of the following extreme weather situations:
- Summer - Hot and Humid Conditions:
- Attendants will work in hot and sunny weather, often with high humidity, especially in summer months
- Rain and Stormy Weather
- Attendants may have to work in light rain or deal with temporary bursts of inclement weather like thunderstorms or heavy rain.
- Windy Conditions
- In areas with frequent winds, attendants may need to monitor weather conditions to ensure safety of guests and employees
- Winter - Cold Conditions
- Attendants may be required to work in low temperatures, possibly with snow or ice.
- Will need to dress warmly, including wearing layers, gloves, hats, and appropriate outerwear.
- Depending on the location, there may be wind chill factors or occasional snow, which could impact visibility and comfort.
Job Requirements
- Must be 14 years of age or older
- Must be able to exhibit all physical demands listed in this job description at any given time during shift
- Must be willing and able to operate a cash register
- Must be flexible throughout season, with weekend availability
- Must be able to work independently, with little daily supervision
