The Phosphate Line Operator sets up, operates and monitors the phosphating line used to coat parts with a protective layer to prevent corrosion and enhance surface treatment. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining our standards of excellence.Job Details* Position Type: Hourly/Non-Exempt, Full-Time* Work Hours: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday I 6AM - 230PM* Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00/hour (depending on skills and experience)* Work Location: Onsite - 2551 Wacker Rd, Savanna, IL 61074* Reports to: Production SupervisorKey Responsibilities* Load parts, operate equipment controls, monitor coating process, and adjust machine settings as necessary.* Measure, mix, and add chemicals such as phosphates, cleaners, and sealants to maintain proper solution concentration and operating conditions.* Inspect parts to ensure coating meets quality standards for thickness and adhesion.* Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on the phosphating line, including tanks, spray nozzles, pumps, and other equipment.* Maintain accurate logs of production runs, chemical usage, maintenance performed, and quality checks.* Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.* Perform all other duties as assigned.Skills/Competencies* Ability to follow and interpret verbal and written work instructions.* Ability to take initiative, demonstrating the ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion without supervision.* Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with team members and internal customers.* Proficiency in basic computer skills.Qualifications (Required)* High School diploma for equivalent.* Previous industrial manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.* Demonstrated steady work history with minimal employment gaps.* History of reliable attendance record and punctuality - essential to support production timelines and team operations.Physical Requirements:* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.* Required to stand for extended periods.* Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.* Frequent bending and stooping required.* Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.* Must be able to work in noisy environments.#ZR
