Primary Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative Location: Tustin, CA (Onsite) Shift/Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-330p, Rotational Saturdays 8a-1230p Date Posted: 7/18/25 Employment Type: Contract (3+ Months) Salary Range: $25 - 27/hr Job Description: The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients arriving for routine wellness checks or critical health diagnostics. The PSR I is responsible for skillfully drawing blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, all while ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and adherence to safety and procedural standards. This role requires creating an environment of trust and professionalism. The PSR I will be responsible for accurate and timely performance of tasks, demonstrating process excellence and sensitivity to confidential information. This role plays a crucial part in delivering a positive patient experience. Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment
- Conduct both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing with confidence and adherence to protocols
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs (includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime)
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Work Experience:
- Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (REQUIRED)
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred
- Proficiency in keyboarding/data entry required
