Job Summary Our client is seeking a Phlebotomist responsible for collecting specimens according to established procedures and ensuring accurate data entry. The role involves clerical duties, maintaining logs, and keeping updated with the latest phlebotomy techniques while adhering to high ethical standards and compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Collects specimens according to established procedures.
- Researches test/client information to confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems or the directory of services.
- Completes all data entry requirements accurately.
- Performs departmental-related clerical duties such as data entry, inventory, stocking supplies, and answering phones when needed.
- Performs verification of patient demographic information/initials including patient signature post venipuncture to ensure labels are correct.
- Maintains all proper phlebotomy logs, such as maintenance and temperature logs, timely and based on schedule.
- Completes training courses and stays updated with the latest phlebotomy techniques.
- Enhances communications through excellent customer service skills in behavior and attitude.
- Adheres to high standards of ethical conduct and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
