Phlebotomist - PRIDE Health : Job Details

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in Fayetteville AR 72703. This is a 2-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: Fayetteville AR 72703

Pay Range: $21-$25 per hour

Schedule: Mon - Fri 7:00AM-4:00PM (40 hrs per week)

Duration: 2 Months+

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.*

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and other specimen collections (e.g., urine, fecal) using proper techniques, including straight and butterfly needles
• Clearly explain collection procedures to patients in a courteous and professional manner
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling
• Centrifuge, split, freeze, and store specimens per test order requirements
• Package and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring integrity is maintained per protocol
• Maintain accurate patient and specimen records, update information as needed
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations, as well as internal lab safety and infection control procedures
• Perform routine decontamination and record equipment maintenance data
• Respond to phone inquiries and read lab results as necessary
• Participate in troubleshooting and suggest workflow improvements
• Attend required annual departmental training

Qualifications:

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• A minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience is required.
