Job Title: Phlebotomist I Duration: 3+ Months Locations: Glendale, CA Shift: Day shift/ Pacific time Pay range : $22/hr - $27.20/hr Job Summary: The PSR I represents the face of the company to patients - whether they are visiting for routine checkups or life-impacting diagnostic testing. This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing them for lab analysis, and delivering excellent patient care. The PSR I builds trust and confidence with patients through skillful, safe, and compassionate service while maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy. Key Responsibilities:Phlebotomy & Specimen Collection
  • Perform accurate, high-quality blood draws (venipuncture and capillary).
  • Handle both clinical and forensic specimen collection.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all samples.
  • Follow established procedures for specimen handling and processing.
Patient Interaction & Customer Service
  • Create a comfortable and professional experience for patients.
  • Clearly explain collection procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and ease.
  • Promote a positive image of the company through every interaction.
Administrative & Operational Tasks
  • Maintain accurate records and necessary documentation.
  • Perform daily tasks accurately and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Follow all health, safety, and infection control protocols.
  • Support the team in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications:Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Experience
  • Minimum 6 months experience required
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
  • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate Leadership Behaviors and process excellence
  • Sensitivity to confidentiality and patient information accuracy
Work Conditions & Availability:
  • Flexible and available to work based on staffing needs, including:
    • Weekends, Holidays, On-call shifts, Overtime
