Phlebotomist-Cardiology Tech - Southcoast Health : Job Details

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Laboratory or Designee, perform a variety of duties including clinical, office, and clerical procedures both within and in support of the Laboratory. Perform data entry of all specimens and/or register patient information in the LIS database and/or department logs. Perform data entry of test associated charges, scheduled tests and test results to appropriate laboratory database as needed. Qualifications Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training is required. Certification from ASCP or NCA is required within one year. Successful completion of one of the following is required: (1) a college-based or accredited phlebotomy program within the past year, or (2) a Medical Laboratory Assistant program within the past year, or (3) equivalent of at least one (1) year of full time related work experience.
