Position Summary
The Philanthropic Partnerships Associate is an individual contributor role supporting key functional areas related to institutional fundraising on the Community Impact team. Provides high level administrative support and leads areas of work including grant writing that promote departmental fundraising priorities. Prepares internal reporting and analysis to facilitate fundraising. Provides technical assistance and support to fundraising staff and internal teams engaged in fundraising.
The Philanthropic Partnerships Associate is part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, whose objective is to secure funding from institutional partners, primarily foundation and corporate donors.
Boundaries
Reporting to the Senior Officer for Philanthropic Partnerships and working closely with program directors and initiative officers, this position supports fundraising and development work to increase the scale of funding for our work and to enhance and strengthen the position of San Francisco Foundation in the region. By managing many of the technical and administrative processes related to our foundation and corporate fundraising, working with lead staff to track data about funder relationships, and providing prospect research, proposal and report writing, and editing support, this position will support fundraising for the Foundation's racial and economic equity agenda.
Authority
They will work independently, with guidance, and collectively on a team within the Community Impact Department to advance the Foundation's fundraising priorities by facilitating internal communication and coordination. This role also collaborates closely with our IT, GrantsAdministration, Philanthropy and Gift Planning Operations, and Finance teams throughout the pre- and post-grant award process to ensure that grants are processed effectively. The Philanthropic Partnership Associate will also represent institutional fundraising priorities on cross-departmental teams as needed to facilitate fundraising success.

Compensation: The San Francisco Foundation offers a very competitive total compensation package including base compensation in alignment with our organizational budget size and rich medical and fringe benefits offerings.
