Pharmacy Transporter - White Plains Hospital : Job Details

The Pharmacy Transporter performs non-patient care functions under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Duties include but are not limited to: Telephone communication with nursing units, delivering medication to nursing units, filling floor stock orders and performing various computer functions relating to billing, printing labels and reports. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following: Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors Performs medication delivery on a scheduled basis Performs floor stock delivery Performs delivery of emergency medication kits as needed Pick up returned medication from unit and process accordingly Transfer medication upon patient relocation. Is accountable for all deliveries made Able to organize and care for equipment. Integrates safety, patient rights and infection control methods into work practice.
