Pharmacy Technician-IP Pharmacy/ Full-Time - Christus Health System : Job Details

Assists the inpatient pharmacy department staff in accomplishing the goals of efficiently dispensing medications through preparation of bulk and batch sterile products ( IV solutions); providing drugs and supplies to nursing stations and all associated functions that are entailed in that process, and producing accurate patient charges. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. CERTIFICATIONS/ LICENSES: Must maintain current registration with the NM Board of Pharmacy SKILLS: Effective verbal and interpersonal skills are required Basic computer skills are required Familiarity with medical terminology, basic math and reading comprehension skills are preferred. EXPERIENCE: Hospital experience is preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Director, Pharmacy ENVIRONMENT: Bloodborne pathogen B Occasional exposure in daily duties.
