Pharmacy Technician - Hourly/Per Diem - SUNY Downstate Medical Center : Job Details

The Department of Pharmacy at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem Pharmacy Assistant / Pharmacy Technician. The successful candidate will: Assist in filling medication orders for inpatients. Maintain stock of pharmaceutical and related supplies. Process charges and generate computer shelf labels for inventory management. Assist in managing proper profiling for the patient. Maintain supplies in the pharmacy work area. Assist in the preparation of parenteral solutions as needed using compounding technology. Assist in the preparation of extemporaneous pharmaceuticals. Maintain supplies in Pharmacy work area. Assist in the preparation of parenteral solutions as needed utilizing compounding technology. Maintain prescription files. Assist the pharmacist in answering drug information service. Participate in nursing station inspections. Participate in unit dose cassette exchange system and Pyxis replenishment.
