The role of the pharmacy technician is to assist pharmacists in providing professional pharmacy services to the patients and staff of Cook Children's Retail Pharmacy and the community we serve. Primary tasks will encompass the process of recording, filing and reporting pharmacy activities and services. All tasks will be performed under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.Education & Experience:
High School degree or equivalent required.
A basic knowledge of math, the metric system, chemistry, and medical terminology is essential.
A general knowledge of office procedures such as filling and record keeping is essential.
Good telephone skills and good oral and written communication skills are essential.
Certification/Licensure:
Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician License OR Texas Pharmacy Intern License.
Pharmacy Technician Certification.
