Pharmacy Tech. - Dignity Health : Job Details

Under direction and supervision of a pharmacist, fills individual drug orders from the pharmacy medication profile. Prepares intravenous additive solutions for individual patients from the IV profile. Prepares bulk solutions. Conducts inspection of assigned nursing units on a monthly basis, removes all outdated drugs from the area, and documents all pertinent findings. Accurately fill medication labels as orders are processed for patients (both IV admixture and oral doses). Identifies items, which need to be ordered and records in purchasing log. Checks floor stock supplies and replenishes according to department policy. Checks in deliveries, Places distributor's price stickers on merchandise, and places into stock. Returns items to proper stock location and maintains bar code ID stickers in proper locations. Makes hourly pick-up/delivery rounds to every nursing station.
