Position Summary:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, you will play a vital role within our pharmacy team, embodying our purpose and values, while providing authentic care to our patients.

Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will help create a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment dedicated to exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring Patient Safety
• Upholding Pharmacy Professional Practice
• Adhering to Regulatory Requirements
• Implementing Quality Assurance protocols
• Delivering outstanding Customer Service
• Managing Inventory
• Overseeing Workflow Management, excluding final prescription verification

Primary Roles and Responsibilities: A crucial part of your internship will involve promoting patient health through care programs. Additionally, you will:

Education: - Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.

Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in an ACPE accredited pharmacy program - 0-3 years of relevant work experience - Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required - Strong communication and presentation skills - Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframe - Flexibility to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends - Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items.
• Dexterity: proficiency in tasks using fingers rather than entire arms.
• Reach: Ability to stretch or reach for items.
• Visual Acuity: Necessary for tasks such as transcribing or reading.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Immunization eligibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

After meeting state regulations, pharmacy interns should strive to provide patient immunizations as part of essential pharmacist functions.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $42.00
