Position Title: Pharmacy Liaison - Specialty Clinic Location: New York, New York 10017 Overview: We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Liaison to work directly with patients and specialty clinic teams, providing comprehensive medication adherence support. This senior-level role focuses on ensuring patients fully benefit from pharmacy services while seamlessly integrating with clinic staff, including doctors, nurses, and support personnel. The ideal candidate will bring strong prior authorization experience, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to navigate EMR systems efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Support patients by scheduling medication deliveries, reminding them of appointments, assisting with co-pays, and providing guidance on pharmacy services.
- Collaborate closely with providers to handle insurance denials, obtain necessary signatures, notify when patients are approved, and manage prescription requests.
- Communicate with the pharmacy team to follow up on missed deliveries, confirm prescription details, and resolve issues with provider documentation.
- Track and meet performance metrics, including prescription refill queue times and patient outreach efforts.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of prior authorization experience in specialty pharmacy, PBM, or retail pharmacy settings.
- National certification as a CPhT (PTCB or NHA).
- Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office programs.
- Up-to-date on COVID vaccination and TB testing.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
