As a Pharmacy Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy teams and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This position is designed for 3rd year pharmacy students focused on bridging classroom knowledge with practical, real-world applications to prepare you for a Pharmacist role.

Under the guidance of your preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap that provides an overview of pharmacy operations, store dynamics, and district management. Your hands-on experience will encompass Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that empower you to:

  • Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and timely, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices while engaging with patients.
  • Deliver compassionate service, showing empathy and understanding in all interactions.
  • Take responsibility for prescription information accuracy and patient safety.
  • Conduct basic inventory management tasks as required by pharmacy leadership.
  • Support patient health through additional services like immunizations and point-of-care testing, adhering to training and state regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited pharmacy program.
  • Possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills while assisting patients and colleagues.
  • Maintain effective communication through active listening and clear exchanges.
  • Utilize mathematical reasoning for accurate prescription management.
  • Problem-solve effectively in various patient and colleague interactions.
