Position Overview:

As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern Trainee, you will:

  • Engage with a comprehensive training roadmap under the supervision of a preceptor, providing you with insights into pharmacy operations and practices.
  • Support pharmacy teams in ensuring safe, accurate, and prompt fulfillment of patient prescriptions.
  • Foster positive patient experiences through compassionate interactions, whether at pick-up, drive-thru, or on the phone.
  • Learn to follow Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, and communication strategies that enhance patient care.
  • Complete key learning experiences and progressively take on more responsibilities, contributing to pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures.
  • Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all patient interactions.
  • Take telephonic prescriptions, clarify orders with prescribers, and support patient consultations under pharmacist supervision.
  • Contribute to inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership.
  • Participate in immunization programs and complete necessary licensure to become a certified immunizer, where allowed by law.
  • Required Qualifications:

    • Currently accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
    • Must possess valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

    Essential Skills:

    • Excellent customer service orientation and team collaboration.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts effectively.
    • Capacity to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
