As a Pharmacy Intern Trainee, you will gain practical, real-world experience while supporting our pharmacy teams in delivering excellent service and ensuring the well-being of our patients. Under the guidance of a preceptor, you will engage in a comprehensive training program aimed at preparing you for a successful career as a pharmacist.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the pharmacy team in managing operations in a safe and effective manner.
• Gaining hands-on experience in prescription fulfillment while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Providing compassionate customer service, creating meaningful interactions with patients.
• Offering to counsel and address medical inquiries under the oversight of a licensed pharmacist.
• Taking telephonic prescriptions and clarifying any prescription-related questions.
• Participating in inventory management tasks as directed by pharmacy leadership.
• Contributing to a supportive team culture by mentoring fellow pharmacy members.
• Flexibly adjusting to scheduling needs and possibly traveling to various stores.
• Complying with legal and ethical standards to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.

You will also have opportunities to support immunizations, including:

• Completing required training to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
• Educating patients about vaccination importance and assisting with related queries.
• Monitoring and reporting any adverse reactions according to public health guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure or in the process of obtaining it.
