The New Hampshire Registered Student Intern, under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, assists in the operational functioning of the pharmacy department. Duties include, but not limited to: receiving, packaging bulk medications into unit dose; picking and processing medications for delivery to pyxis machines or to nursing units. This shall be carried out in accordance with state and federal laws, national regulatory agencies and the facility department policies and procedures. In addition, the pharmacy student intern, will assist the pharmacist with medication reconciliation; station inspections and pharmacy internal drug audits as deemed appropriate to the intern's level of learning.

Adherence to all Board of Pharmacy, DEA, JCAHO, CMS and FDA Standards. Receive and check in all medication and supplies with packing slips/ invocies. Complete monthly station inspections with concentration on proper storage of medications and removal of expired medications. Rotate inventory to ensure earliest dating gets dispensed first. Package and barcode medication in accordance to local and federal regulatory agencies. Maintain appropriate lines of communication with co-workers, healthcare professionals and other personnel.

What qualifications you will need:

• Actively attending or graduated from an accredited Pharmacy Program and registered with the NH Board of Pharmacy as a Student Intern
• NH Board of Pharmacy Student Intern Licensure
