In this role, you'll put your classroom learning into action under the guidance of experienced pharmacists. You'll be part of a comprehensive training roadmap designed to give you firsthand insights into pharmacy operations at various levels—store, district, and regional. Your hands-on experience will come from critical Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) and engagement with leaders, all while ensuring our patients receive prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment.

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will:

• Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support your team in managing patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflows to ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service, empathizing with patients' needs during all interactions.
• Assist in counseling patients and responding to inquiries regarding their medications, under pharmacist supervision.
• Take prescription orders over the phone, clarifying as necessary per state regulations.
• Mentor and assist fellow team members, sharing insights and best practices.
• Contribute to inventory management tasks as directed by pharmacy leadership.
• Actively engage in team collaboration, maintaining a positive and growth-oriented mindset.
• Be adaptable to scheduling requirements, working between different stores as needed.
• Understand and comply with all relevant regulations and ethical standards to ensure patient safety.
• Deliver valuable health care services such as immunizations, upon meeting legal requirements.

Your immunization duties may include:

• Completing necessary training and licensure to become a Technician Immunizer.
• Educating patients about vaccines and guiding them to the Pharmacist for further questions.
• Monitoring and documenting patient responses to vaccinations.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an ACPE accredited pharmacy school.
• Must possess or be working on obtaining intern or technician licensure as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, or a related customer service setting.
• A desire to become immunization certified as this is a core function for future pharmacists.
