Summary: As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, your primary focus is guest satisfaction. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of various tasks within the Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage each guest who enters the pharmacy area, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Build a strong reputation for providing exceptional guest service.
- Handle Point of Sale transactions for prescriptions and maintain confidentiality with patient records.
- Assist with managing guest charge and delivery records.
- Sell nonprescription medications in their original containers.
- Stock and clean pharmacy shelves to maintain an organized environment.
- Label and organize incoming orders effectively.
- Order pharmacy stock as needed.
- Mail out prescriptions to our guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Important Information: Please note that you may not perform any duties that are specifically designated for a registered technician or technician trainee as outlined by the State Board of Pharmacy.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED), or actively working towards one.
- Current HIPAA certification (to be obtained upon hire through United Family Learning).
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required.
- Experience in retail pharmacy is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods (8-12 hours).
- Capable of functioning well as a team member and fostering a positive work environment.
- Open to receiving supervisory coaching to improve performance, work habits, and attitude.
