Education/Experience

• Minimum Required:
  • A Bachelor's of Science Degree (B.S.) or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred:
  • One year experience as a pharmacist

License/Certification

• Minimum Required:
  • Licensed as a Pharmacist in New York State or NYS internship permit
• Preferred:
  • Not Applicable

Work Environment

• All work is performed in offices that require working in close quarters with other employees. The pharmacy settings are air conditioned / heated.
• Adequate protective wear available for handling certain drugs (i.e., chemo) such as a mask, gown and gloves. Gloves and goggles are available for other procedures as necessary.
• Distribution of Medications‐ walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, manual dexterity, reading
• Drug Information / Clinical Activities‐ sitting, talking, vision, fingering, manual dexterity, reading
• Keyboarding / Computer‐ Manual dexterity, sitting, grasping, vision, reaching 6
• Answering Telephones‐ reaching 6 , fingering, hearing
• Compounding‐ walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, manual dexterity, reading
• Equipment Used: carts, computer, printer, pharmacy robotics, phones and fax machines
• Employees are required to have reasonable access to transportation to meet work requirements made in the ordinary course of business in a timely and efficient manner.
