Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive living environment and enhance clients' quality of life
  • Document daily activities and report significant changes in clients' needs
  • Maintain regular communication with your supervisor and office staff

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide a range of services:

  • Companionship & Home Helper services including:
    • Engaging in conversation and companionship
    • Assisting with stability and mobility
    • Meal preparation and kitchen cleaning
    • Medication and appointment reminders
    • Performing light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning)
    • Laundry services including washing and ironing
    • Running errands as needed
    • Accompanying clients to appointments
  • Personal Care services including:
    • Assistance with bathing and grooming
    • Support with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Specialized Services including:
    • Advanced Alzheimer's/Dementia care
    • Hospice Care

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in company-sponsored training and social events
  • Report your working hours according to office policy
  • Document client information in the Client and Life Journal
  • Occasionally run errands or provide transportation using your or the client's vehicle
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach comfortably
  • Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Willingness to work in various environments and adapt accordingly
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
  • Ability to handle exposure to dust, mold, mildew, and cleaning solutions
