Position Summary

We anticipate the need for one Performance Improvement Coordinator or Sr. Performance Improvement Coordinator. This position is responsible to interface cross-functionally while assisting to implement and/or maintain the continuous performance improvement support programs by conducting/mentoring Cause Evaluations, Station Event Trending, Station Self-Assessments and the administration of the Corrective Action Program (CAP) and Operating Experience Programs. Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Routinely interacts directly with station management and external stakeholders such as INPO and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) personnel. This position may require travel to support Xcel and Utility Services Alliance (USA) industry objectives and act as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO).

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist and coordinate, monitor, and administer the Corrective Action Program (CAP), including, but not limited to reviews, analysis, evaluation, trending, corrective action development, and reports to leadership.
  • Assist and coordinate, monitor, and administer the station Operating Experience (OE) Program, Self-Assessment (SA) Program, Benchmarking Program, and other station programs as assigned.
  • Assist in developing, monitoring, updating and trending station performance indicators, as assigned.
  • Assist in the performance/mentoring of causal Evaluations, as assigned.
  • Assist and coordinate to ensure/provide employees appropriate training and development to successfully perform their duties.
  • Assist in conducting and coordinating Self Assessments, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

High School Degree or equivalent plus: 1. Associate Degree or higher 2. Four years of relevant experience in a nuclear power generation plant may be substituted for the Associate degree. Relevant nuclear experience may include a combination of experience in nuclear Quality Assurance, nuclear plant operations and/or maintenance, engineering, chemistry, Radiological Protection, Training. Nuclear Navy experience may be applicable. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated strong problem solving ability, Demonstrated oral and written communication skills are also required. Demonstrated ability to establish working relations with all levels, from executive management to front line individual contributors is required. Familiarity with nuclear operational practices, nuclear plant technology and event investigation methodology required. Candidate should possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Preferred Requirements Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field SRO Certification or License

Sr. Performance Improvement Coordinator Requirements

Bachelor Degree, plus: 1. Six (6) years of relevant experience in a nuclear power generation plant is required. 2. Or a total of 10 years relevant experience meets the minimum without a degree. One (1) years of relevant experience may substitute for 1yr of a degree; therefore 4 years relevant experience equals a degree.
