Position Summary: The Wellness Nurse will play a crucial role in supervising resident care services, ensuring the highest quality of support for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Resident Services Department associates, including C.N.A.s (Resident Services Assistants).
- Assist in managing the medication program and aid residents in self-administration of medications.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Report significant incidents and changes in residents' needs to relevant department heads.
- Support the assessment and creation of resident service plans.
- Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications as required by ALSA.
- Collaborate with the Resident Services Director on recruitment and performance management.
- Be involved in the orientation and training of new associates.
- Attend in-service training sessions and departmental meetings.
- Help with scheduling and staff management for Resident Services Assistants.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to associates within the Resident Services Department.
- Ensure resident and family satisfaction through support and communication.
- Supervise RSA staff during care provision.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN or RN license in the appropriate state.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience.
- Preferred experience in assisted living or long-term care settings.
- Genuine interest in working with seniors.
