Position Summary: The Wellness Nurse will play a crucial role in supervising resident care services, ensuring the highest quality of support for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Resident Services Department associates, including C.N.A.s (Resident Services Assistants).
• Assist in managing the medication program and aid residents in self-administration of medications.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Report significant incidents and changes in residents' needs to relevant department heads.
• Support the assessment and creation of resident service plans.
• Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications as required by ALSA.
• Collaborate with the Resident Services Director on recruitment and performance management.
• Be involved in the orientation and training of new associates.
• Attend in-service training sessions and departmental meetings.
• Help with scheduling and staff management for Resident Services Assistants.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to associates within the Resident Services Department.
• Ensure resident and family satisfaction through support and communication.
• Supervise RSA staff during care provision.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current LPN or RN license in the appropriate state.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification.
• Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience.
• Preferred experience in assisted living or long-term care settings.
• Genuine interest in working with seniors.
