Schedule: Per diem, hours vary

Salary: $20.00-$22.00 / hour depending on shift and program

As a Per Diem ACCS Residential Counselor, you will provide direct support to people with psychiatric conditions and behavioral health challenges in small group residential settings or individual living arrangements. Your role involves working collaboratively with the individuals served, their families, friends, employers, and support staff to enhance independence skills or improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include administering medication under the Medication Administration Program (MAP), implementing treatment plans, assisting with daily activities such as household chores and cooking, and facilitating community connections through transportation for outings like shopping and medical appointments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's in a Human Services-related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Human Services.
  • Strong time management and writing skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid US driver's license for at least 6 months and access to a reliable, insured vehicle (unless based in Metro Boston).
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification within 2 weeks, and MAP certification within 150 days of hire. Trainings are provided by Vinfen.
  • Successful passing of background checks, including CORI, references, multi-state background, and driving record.
