Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care at Locums - Medicine Institute (Pittsburgh, PA)

Practice Details Specialty: Critical Care NP or PA EMR system: EPIC Reason for Coverage: Backfill/Bench provider at facility FTE or Shifts per month needed: Night shift + Weekend warriors Target start date and Length of need:

Days (6a to 6p): DAY SHIFTS: 10/18, 10/19, 11/8, 11/9, 11/16, 11/22: 6A-6P NIGHT SHIFTS: 11/7 & 11/8 (could work the whole stretch of 11/7 - 11/11 if needed) 6P-6A *Will have ongoing needs for nights and weekend days beginning in July

Locums Shift Schedule : 6P-6A or 6A-6P Call Schedule and Call Responsibilities: No call Type of patients / cases / procedures required: Arterial Lines, Central Lines, consults, Codes - NO Intubations done at night; High Acuity Cases Patients Per Day/Volume: 10-17 per shift Available support staff & physician support: Solo at night - have residents from the ER between November - June each year (Sun-Thurs nights)

Certifications required (Board Certification/Truly Board Eligible or life support, etc.): Board Certified - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; For NP's - Acute Care certification required; ACLS, BLS, Active DEA Will you accept licensure candidates (IMLC or standard process)? Yes to compact providers; Strongly prefer already licensed but do not want to rule out all who are not Minimum candidate commitment to consider: 5-7 shifts per month *Hospital Privileging: 60-90 days

Miscellaneous Information: PA Child Abuse requirement for license (fingerprints); Open ICU; Virtual ICU hardwired into 4th floo
