PeopleSoft Production Management Consultant

The Production Management Consultant will identify and implement solutions to optimize the efficiency of production systems and processes. Responsibilities include managing scheduled events such as disaster recovery testing, platform upgrades, audits, compliance requests, system enhancements, and fixes.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement operating efficiency solutions for specific domains.
- Manage day-to-day production activities, including incident investigation and resolution, working independently.
- Perform break-fix coding or scripting and document changes.
- Communicate incidents, problems, and escalations to partners.
- Manage work queues as needed.
- Analyze performance and cost metrics.
- Document processes and procedures.
- Ensure completion of nightly production batch jobs per SLAs.
- Prioritize problems, incidents, and service requests based on business understanding.
- Handle change management, release management, and compliance activities.
- Support production management with technical and business knowledge.
- Advise application development teams on operational efficiency and stability.
- Mentor less experienced staff and collaborate with other teams.
- Work with vendors to optimize production systems.
- Assist with projects including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Facilitate meetings and conduct root cause analysis with IT, vendor, and business partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None, but may guide junior staff.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4-7 years of experience with PeopleSoft HCMS 9.1 and related technologies.
- 4-7 years of experience with SQR, SQL, PeopleTools (including App Designer, App Engine, Integration Broker, etc.).
Preferred Experience:
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of the PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (LMS) module.
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous leadership or project management experience.
