People Relations Consultant II

In this role, the People Relations Consultant II will provide guidance to management on a range of employment matters, including policy interpretation, HR procedures, employee relations, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into routine employee relations concerns by establishing investigation plans, conducting investigations, preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation.

• Advise managers regarding ongoing employee performance issues, guides development and implementation of performance coaching plans and policy enforcement; escalates issues as necessary.

• Serve as an HR contact for hourly employees, on day-to-day workplace concerns.

• Ensure equitable and consistent treatment of employees, provide policy interpretation, and make recommendations on employment actions.

• Stay current with applicable Human Resources-related laws, rules, and regulations.

• Assist in the preparation and implementation of Affirmative Action Plans and completion of government reporting requirements such as EEO-1 and VETS 4212 reports

• Assist in reviewing and revising HR policies, procedures, and process documents, including employee handbook; draft additional HR policies as necessary based upon business needs.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Customer Service Orientation: Ability to provide responsive, empathetic, and accurate support to employees and managers.

• HR Knowledge: Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).

• Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication for resolving inquiries and explaining HR processes.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to assess issues, identify solutions, and escalate when necessary.

• Time Management: Managing multiple tasks and inquiries efficiently.

• Confidentiality: Handling sensitive employee information with discretion and integrity.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

• Three (3) years of demonstrated employee relations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in health care technology environment or hourly population

• Experience using HR Information or Case Management Systems

Work Conditions

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer using video technology

• Availability to work across multiple time zones

• Remote; with ability to be in office as necessary
