Now Hiring!Metal Building IndustryDESIGN ENGINEERJob Summary Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing complex metal building systems, mentoring less experienced engineers, and collaborating with clients to deliver optimal building solutions. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in metal building design and a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Responsibilities:
  • Design complex pre-engineered metal buildings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and building codes.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Interact with clients, assisting them in selecting the most suitable building solutions for their needs.
  • Oversee high-complexity projects, providing professional evaluation and applying your PE seal to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Supervise the design engineering team in the absence of the Team Leader.
  • Collaborate effectively with drafters, detailers, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to the company's involvement in the Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) and their efforts to promote metal building design in future code editions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, building codes, and design best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in metal building design.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
