Peer Support Specialist - The Salvation Army in the Midwest : Job Details

The Salvation Army Columbia Corps located in Columbia, Missouri, is looking for a Peer Support Specialist. The individual in this position must be willing to serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Peer Support Specialist must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with starting pay of $20.00 per hour. 1108 W Ash Street Columbia, MO 65203 Essential Functions Conduct outreach to Harbor House Residents and community substance use disorder support agencies to offer Christ Centered 12 step program meetings, resources, and Peer Counseling.
