**Description**

The Peer Specialist Supervisor (PSS) will provide direct leadership and supervision over peer and community-based recovery and/or re-entry support programming and services delivered by peer specialist staff at Catholic Charities Family and Community Services. Peer specialist staff includes CRPA and other applicable peer roles. The PSS will work under the guidance of their assigned Program Manager to facilitate the engagement of individuals who may benefit from peer support services. The PSS will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, navigator, and motivator to peer staff, and at times, individuals in or seeking recovery in an effort to promote person-centered recovery planning and goal realizations, which may include reductions in harm from substance use and sustaining long-term recovery. The PSS must demonstrate an ability to manage all aspects of peer programming, including staff and programming scheduling, one-on-one and group supervision, partner relationships, and development of new programming as needed. The PSS should consciously share personal lived experiences as appropriate, develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships, and understand and respect for each individuals unique path to recovery and/or community re-entry.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Provide oversight and direct supervision of all peer specialist staff.

+ Facilitate daily peer schedules, as well as weekly individual supervision, and monthly group supervision and be documented.

+ Provide peer-based support services to individuals contemplating or actively seeking help with behavioral health recovery and/or community-based re-entry as needed.

+ Engage in relationship building and management with community and governmental partners as needed to further the reach and impact of peer support services and programming. Wellness home visits as needed.

+ Administrative duties include peer support services scheduling (e.g., center weekly schedule), staff schedules, weekly data tracking and entry, monthly service engagement reports, and regular digital communication via digital platforms. Provide and support ongoing education and training.

+ Conduct self in an ethical manner by adhering to the CCFCS codes of ethics.

+ Follow and adhere to the recovery bill of rights.

+ Other duties as assigned by Program Manager.

+ Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops

+ Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan; including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse

**Qualifications**

**Education:** High School Diploma or GED

**Credentials:** _Certified Recovery Specialist, Certified Peer Specialist, Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA), Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC), or Certified Family Recovery Specialist_

**Experience:** Complete, or at a minimum review, the Peer Recovery Specialist training to familiarize themselves with the role and functions of the job. Further, they should understand the principles and philosophy of recovery and the role of peer support services in building and sustaining recovery goals.

High degree of technological literacy, or willingness to acquire these skills as part of employment. Understand the certification and recertification requirements for PRSs.
