Peer Recovery Specialist - Woods Services : Job Details

The Peer Recovery Specialist will provide recovery support and peer coaching to program participants and will be required to attend Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) State mandated trainings delineating peer role functions, competencies, responsibilities, and orientation to DMHAS treatment initiatives. Works with individuals to support and strengthen their capacity to engage in personal recovery through wellness services, development of recovery plans / wellness recovery action plans, education of navigating treatment social services and recovery support programs. Provides both face-to-face and telephone support services based on personal choice and maintain aftercare contacts based on agency procedures.
