Pediatrics Volunteer - Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center : Job Details

The Pediatric Volunteer provides support to our child life and recreation program by providing direct patient interactions and engagement, caregiver respite, facilitation of activities and events, and facility maintenance. Applicants must be over 17 years old and have experience working/volunteering with children. This opportunity is only offered in Manhattan from Monday- Friday with occasional weekend opportunities.

Qualifications to Volunteer at MSK Kids:

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Commit to a weekly shift for a minimum of 12 consecutive months (your shift will remain the same each week).
• Have experience working/volunteering with children.
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, compassionate, and proactive.

Onboarding Requirements:

• Applicants will only receive an interview request if availability and skills align with program needs.
• If selected, complete a virtual interview. The selection process is based on scheduling needs and applicant qualifications.
• Reference check.
• Background check & drug screen (*18 years and older).
• Medical clearance. COVID-19, flu and other immunizations are mandatory for volunteers, no exceptions.
• If a candidate fails to follow up or complete the above requirements after 4-6 weeks, the application may be withdrawn.

Hours and Location:

• Main Hospital - 1275 York Ave, New York, NY10065.
• This opportunity is only offered in Manhattan from Monday- Friday with occasional weekend opportunities.

Pay Range: $0.00 - $10,000,000.00 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
