Pediatrics physician employment in California : Some locum assignments can be as short as a day, others, years. Some are far from home, others are local. • 24-hour shifts (12 noon - 12 noon) with 14 days blocked per month
• Level 1 nursery: 3 - 5 patients, Level 2 nursery: 3 - 5 patients, pediatric floor: 0 - 4 patients
• Community hospital with Level 1 and 2 nursery coverage -- no NICU
• Neonatology support available via telehealth
• Required procedures include umbilical catheterization and CPAP management
• Coverage needed for ongoing assignment
• Minimum 10-day block commitment per month
• NRP and PALS certification required
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
