Private Equity Analyst
Primary Functions of the Private Equity Analyst role include:
- Support deal teams in sourcing, screening, and evaluating private equity investments across primary fund commitments and secondary opportunities
- Strong quantitative skills required to perform track record analysis, detailed business valuation, and modelling, as well as more qualitative assessments
- Support deal teams in the preparation of internal investment committee memos as well as the subsequent closing processes
- Actively engage with advisors and other market participants to source and manage inbound deal flow
- Active contribution to recurring market-related projects
- Present and discuss new opportunities to both local and global team
Requirements
- University degree (bachelor's degree or higher)
- Relevant prior internship experience including: investment banking, secondary and/or direct investing, business consulting / advisory
- Essential technical skills include solid background in finance, detail-orientation, and strong analytical, modeling, and quantitative skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Experience working in a similar team environment a plus
- Good team player who can also function independently
- Energetic, flexible, and capable of working under time constraints
- Sharp analytical mind with the ability to communicate and present findings clearly and concisely
- Ability to work with colleagues at other global offices of the firm, and to manage communications and schedules accordingly
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
