Job description:
The PCB eCAD Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of PCB design activities, including concept development, schematic capture, layout design, and final Gerber release. This role requires close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality PCB designs that meet performance, reliability, and manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PCB placement, constraint definition, layer stack-up, and power plane design.
- Route electrical nets with consideration for length matching, signal integrity, and high-speed design constraints
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, ensuring accurate Gerber release for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define, review, and implement design requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to team members across the design cycle.
Job Requirements
- Education: BS/BA or AS/AA in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 8–10 years of hands-on PCB eCAD design experience
- Strong communication skills in English with the ability to work effectively in a team and customer-facing environment.
Technical Skills & Experience
Mandatory:
- Proficiency in Siemens Xpedition Layout and DxDesigner VX
- Experience with PCB eCAD libraries using EDM flow.
- Hands-on experience with constraints editor system, Fablink (penalization), variant manager, and drawing editor
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end PCB design flow (schematics ? layout ? Gerber release).
- Expertise in Digital, Analog, and Mixed-Signal PCB design
Preferred / Advanced:
- High-speed PCB routing expertise, including power planes, creepage and clearance rules, and length matching
- Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as SATA, DDR4/DDR5, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, PMIC
- Experience with RF board design
- Familiarity with Automotive industry standards and PCB manufacturing processes.
