This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Division's desktops, laptops, print devices, as well as Plant and remote users to ensure optimal software and hardware performance, reliability, troubleshooting, and data security.Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure optimal software and hardware performance, reliability, troubleshooting, and data security. This will involve daily communication with the users and corporate IT support staff to provide problem solving, troubleshooting, and support.Responsibilities: Your additional responsibilities as PC Support Technician will include:Responsible for the deployment and ongoing computer support of all Division's PCs and printersSupports laptop users (including plant and remote users)Administers the creation and maintenance of domain users and groups using Active DirectoryAdministers the setup and maintenance of Exchange email users and mailboxesManages the purchasing of all Division computer equipment and softwareEnsures compliance with Corporate software polices; especially with respect to ensuring the Division is purchasing legal copies of software.Maintain up-to-date inventory of all equipment in the data processing network, as well as associated maintenance contracts and agreements. Maintain up-to-date inventory of all IP addresses.Skills / RequirementsAssociates DegreeMinimum 2-3 years computer setup, desktop user support, and computer hardware supportBasic understanding of networking conceptsIn depth knowledge and experience working with all current versions of Microsoft desktop operating systemsBasic knowledge and experience working SAP preferredExperienced using Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to lift and handle up to 50 lbs.
