This person will be a member of the Accounting Department reporting to Controller.
They will be responsible for the payroll for:
Edgerton Contractors, Inc, Edgerton Trucking, Inc., and Lake Edge Logistics, LLC
Duties:
- Oversee Payroll Department – 2 Payroll Specialists
- Review daily input of field log/timecard activity
- Review of weekly payroll tax payments
- Review of the month's union reporting
- Annual employee reviews
- Maintain payroll system in Vista Viewpoint:
- Update pay rates, deduction rates, and other union and non-union adjustments.
- Update equipment rates in Vista
- Set up new employees
- Quarterly and Annual payroll tax reporting.
- Federal 941's, SUTA, FUTA, State 941's
- Annual W-2's
- Stay current on union compliance for the payroll system
- Set up new jobs with correct union contract
- Classify equipment in correct wage class
- Correctly shift premiums in Vista
- Ensure demolition projects have correct union pay rates
- Maintain confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are delivered
Specific Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
CPA preferred
Above average organizational skills.
Minium 3 years' experience working with payroll in a union environment.
Minium 3 years' experience working within the construction industry, using job costing.
Minium 2 years' experience doing payroll in Vista Viewpoint.
