Payroll Manager (Hybrid, 3 days in office, NYC)
A leading real estate investment firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join their team. This individual will oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for a multi-state workforce, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. This hybrid role requires 3 days per week onsite in the NYC office.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process bi-weekly payroll for multi-state employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsWork with HR and Benefits to help resolve employee pay inquiriesCollaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of payroll-related dataPrepare and reconcile payroll reports, including earnings, taxes, deductions, and leave balancesEnsure compliance with all wage and hour laws, payroll tax requirements, and company policiesCoordinate with external vendors and systems, including payroll platforms and benefit providersLead year-end processes including W-2 distribution and tax filingsQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll managementStrong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, payroll tax compliance, and reporting requirementsProficiency in payroll software (UKG preferred)Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skillsThis is a full-time position offering a competitive compensation package and a hybrid work schedule.
